That the deadline for the agenda item Council Policy C-CG-09 Council Committees, Task Forces and Steering Committee be extended to January 26, 2018.

COUNCIL DIRECTION
On May 2, 2016, Council passed the following motion:
C-274-2016)
That the City Manager review C-CG-09 (Task Forces, Council Committees, Steering Committees), plus any Bylaws, the Procedures Bylaw, various Terms' of References and the Governance of all and propose any governance changes in Q3, 2017 with the aim to rationalize, streamline and align purpose and structure.
REPORT
Administration requires additional time to consult with committee chairs about the current procedures being used and ways this could be included in the new Council Policy. During the review process, it was determined that including a standardized procedure specifically for committees would be beneficial. Administration plans to consult with the committee Chairs in the coming months and develop a procedure which would be standard for all committees moving forward.
