That City Council Policy C-ED-07, Economic Prosperity, provided as an attachment to the April 3, 2017 agenda report entitled “Economic Prosperity Policy & Strategic Plan Framework” be approved.

PURPOSE OF REPORT

 

Administration presented a draft economic development policy and strategic framework to Council on December 12, 2016. Council was requested to provide feedback to administration for consideration by December 21, 2016. Feedback was received and incorporated into the policy and into the framework where appropriate.  

 

COUNCIL DIRECTION

 

On December 12, 2016 Council passed the following motions:

That proposed City Council Policy C-ED-07, Economic Prosperity, provided as an attachment to the December 12, 2016 agenda report entitled "Economic Prosperity Policy & Strategic Plan Framework", be received as information.

 

That Council Members provide feedback on City Council Policy C-ED-07, Economic Prosperity to Administration by December 21, 2016, and that the policy be brought back for Council consideration in Q1 of 2017.

 

That "Leading Growth - St. Albert's Economic Development Framework", provided as an attachment to the December 12, 2016 agenda report entitled "Economic Prosperity Policy & Strategic Plan Framework", be received as information.
