Request for Standing Committee Motion from Community Services Advisory Committee (Community Capital Grant Program)

REQUESTED MOTION
recommendation
1. That the Community Living Standing Committee recommend to Council that the following applications for the 2021 Community Capital Grant Program be awarded as follows:
a. Kinsmen Club of St. Albert
Renovations / improvements to the Kinsmen Banquet Centre and RV Park Upgrades
$41,250
b. Muriel Martin Fundraising Society
Replacement of Play Structure Component
$2,661
c. St. Albert Soccer Association
Upgrades to Riel Field #1
$27,847
d. Wild Rose Parent’s Society
Replacement of Play Structure Component
$2,661
Total: $74,419
2. That the Community Living Standing Committee recommend to Council that the Dynamyx Gymnastics Club of St. Albert receive an additional funding allocation of $25,000 from the 2021 Community Capital Grant Program which would increase their capital grant for their new building development project to a total of $90,000 which is closer to the original 2020 recommendation of CSAC ($94,815).

PURPOSE OF REPORT
The purpose of this report is to bring to the Community Living Standing Committee recommendations for Community Events Grant Program, arising from an item on the Agenda of the April 27, 2021 meeting of the Community Services Advisory Committee.
