Request for Standing Committee Motion from Arts Development Advisory Committee (Young Artist Legacy Award Program)

REQUESTED MOTION
recommendation
That the Community Living Standing Committee recommend to Council award the following applications for the Young Artist Legacy Award Program:
1. Ben Brown
Funding request: $423.75
Ben would like to attend a virtual writing program hosted by Second City in Toronto. The application conforms to all criteria as per-the Young Artist Legacy Award policy.
2. Mara Larmand
Funding request: $500
Mara would like to attend a virtual jazz and contemporary summer intensive at the Joffrey School of Ballet in New York. The application conforms to all criteria as per-the Young Artist Legacy Award policy.
3. Abigail Angell
Funding request: $250
Abigail would like to attend a virtual creative writing residency program hosted by the Writers’ Guild of Alberta. The application conforms to all criteria as per-the Young Artist Legacy Award policy.
Total: $1,173.75

The purpose of this report is to bring to the Community Living Standing Committee recommendations for the Young Artist Legacy Award Program, arising from an item on the Agenda of the April 28, 2021 meeting of the Arts Development Advisory Committee.
