REQUESTED MOTION FROM YOUTH ADVISORY COMMITTEE
recommendation
The following motion requested by the Youth Advisory Committee was not made at the April 12, 2021 meeting of the Community Living Standing Committee:
That the Youth Advisory Committee Bylaw 26/2016 be amended to include a minimum of one annual meeting between the Youth Advisory Committee and the Seniors Advisory Committee.
The Standing Committee did however request that this transmittal report include an alternative motion for Council to consider, involving an amendment to the Council Committees Policy, as described under the "Alternative Motion" heading below. Please note that the alternative would enable, but not require, joint meetings of any two or more Advisory Committees which is a less prescriptive approach than requested by the Youth Advisory Committee but still ensures that there is no question of the legitimacy of joint meetings.
