REASON FOR TIME EXTENSION REQUEST
On December 2, 2019, Council passed Motion CB-19-022. Recommendation 4 read as follows:
“That the formal Indigenous Advisory Committee is brought forward for further discussion at an overall committee review discussion in Q1 2020”.
Community Relations requests a time extension to report back to Council before Q3 of 2021 regarding possible next steps. While this matter was discussed in-camera at the January 2020 Council retreat session, due to the re-deployment of staff because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Administration requires more time to review various opportunities and consider current community dynamics.
