REASON FOR TIME EXTENSION REQUEST
Administration is requesting an extension due to impacts related to COVID-19. At this time all departmental resources are focused on economic recovery and business supports related to negative impacts to St. Albert’s business community. Additionally, through various touchpoints and surveys with the business community, Economic Development has identified local businesses who will be additionally, and potentially negatively, impacted by this amendment. Administration is proposing delaying this amendment to allow departmental resources to be focused primarily on recovery supports and allow potentially impacted business to stabilize due to this unprecedented economic impact before such work is moved forward.
