PURPOSE OF REPORT

This report discusses proposed amendments to Schedule A of the Land Use Bylaw (LUB).  The proposed amendments require a public hearing and Council’s approval, as per the requirements in the Municipal Government Act (MGA).

BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION

Please refer to the attachment entitled: Bylaw 10/2020 Riverside Stage 27 Redistricting (1st Reading) Agenda Report (Previously Distributed May 4, 2020).

ALTERNATIVES AND IMPLICATIONS CONSIDERED

If Council does not wish to close the public hearing, or if a motion to close the public hearing does not pass, consideration of the following Alterative Recommendations would be appropriate:

1.                     That the public hearing be adjourned to the June 15, 2020 meeting.

If Council does not wish to support the recommendation, the following alternatives could be considered:

2.                     Defeat second or third reading of Bylaw 10/2020.  An implication would be that the applicant cannot re-apply within six months for a Land Use Bylaw amendment on this site.
