REASON FOR TIME EXTENSION REQUEST
The deadline for receiving Housing Development Proposal Expressions of Interest (EOI) was extended from March 31, 2020 to April 30, 2020, as mandated for all procurements by the CAO. This extension considered the risk posed by the COVID-19 virus through paper document distribution and the delays occasioned by the closure of St. Albert Place, and was in alignment with Council’s March 13, 2020 motion to delegate authority to the CAO to decide what programs, services, events, and operations within the control or oversight of the City should be cancelled, postponed, or modified in any way.
Planning is now requesting that the report deadline for this procurement be extended to June 29, 2020 as a result of the EOI deadline having been extended to April 30, 2020. This will provide 45+ days for Administration to evaluate the EOI submissions and report back to Council by the last meeting in June.
