recommendation
1. That Council support Sturgeon County’s submission of the proposed “City of St. Albert/Sturgeon County Transportation Network Improvement Strategy” grant application to the Government of Alberta’s Alberta Community Partnership program.

2. That Council support the City of St. Albert’s submission of the proposed “Carrot Creek Regional Drainage Master Plan” grant application to the Government of Alberta’s Alberta Community Partnership program.

PURPOSE OF REPORT
The Alberta Community Partnership (ACP) is a grant program administered by Alberta Municipal Affairs and is intended to support intermunicipal and regional projects across Alberta. The Province has budgeted $16.5 Million for this program in 2020.

Grant applications for both projects have been submitted by either Sturgeon County or St. Albert Administrations; however, a final requirement is supporting motions from Councils of participating municipalities of each project.

Sturgeon County Council passed motions of support at their February 11, 2020 Council Meeting; and Town of Morinville Council passed a motion of support for the Carrot Creek Regional Drainage Master Plan project at their February 11, 2020 Council Meeting.
