RECOMMENDATION(S)

(1) Bylaw 29/2019 Road Closure

1.                     That the non-statutory Public Hearing on Bylaw 29/2019 be closed.

 

2.                     That Bylaw 29/2019 be read a second time.

 

3.                     That Bylaw 29/2019 be read a third and final time.

 

4.                     That Council authorize the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) to dispose of the closed roadway as per the City Council Policy C-ED-03.

PURPOSE OF REPORT

The purpose of the report is to outline the proposed road closure for a portion of Road Plan 6079MC, which is a portion of Hogan Road located south of McKenney Avenue and north of Rankin Road, with an area of 0.28 hectares± (0.69 acres±).

 

 

 

BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION

Please refer to the attachment entitled:  Road Closure (1st reading) Agenda Report (Previously Distributed November 4, 2019).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

ALTERNATIVES AND IMPLICATIONS CONSIDERED

If Council does not wish to close the public hearing, or if a motion to close the public hearing does not pass, consideration of the following Alternative Recommendations would be appropriate:

 

1.                     That the non-statutory public hearing be adjourned to the December 16, 2019 meeting.

 

If Council does not wish to support the recommendation, the following alternative could be considered:

 

                     Defeat second and third reading of Bylaw 29/2019.  An implication would be that the applicant cannot re-apply within six months.
