That the PW snow storage site design is delayed for consideration until a permanent snow storage site is determined, and the $50,000 is returned to the capital reserve.

Administration’s Understanding of Intent Motion:
That $50,000 will be removed from the 2020 capital budget request.
Operational or Organizational Impacts if Motion is Approved:
Administration staff intended to develop concept considerations that are not site specific to assist in design development at a future date. Plans were intended to be developed that would allow for placement in multiple potential locations. This work will become more effective if a site is chosen allowing for incorporation of specific site access requirements and geological conditions.
Financial Implications of Motions:
Associated work would occur within with no impact on operating budget.
Stakeholder Consultations:
Communication with the surrounding regional potential partners would occur.
Background:
The unconfirmed time span of the snow storage / compost transfer permit has prompted desire to prepare for relocation / upgrading of snow storage designs in the event the permit is terminated. Plans were intended to be developed that would allow for placement in multiple potential locations.
