Endorsement of AUMA Director

PURPOSE OF REPORT
On August 15, 2019 Councillor Hughes provided notice in accordance with Section 23 of Procedure Bylaw 3/2018 that she intended to bring forward the proposed motion below.
Councillor Hughes has asked that the Notice of Motion be dealt with at this meeting; as per Section 23.8 of Procedure Bylaw 3/2018 Council may pass a resolution to waive the time requirement for Notice.
In order for Council to debate the motion, the motion must be formally moved.
PROPOSED MOTION(S):
recommendation
That the time requirement of notice of motion be waived as per Section 23.8 of Procedure Bylaw 3/2018.
That Council endorse Mayor Cathy Heron for the position of AUMA Director of cities up to 500,000 for the year 2019-2020.
