That capital project 416418 Noise Attenuation Data Collection, which was initially approved to be closed through AR-19-110 on February 19, 2019, be carried forward in the amount of $200,000.

PURPOSE OF REPORT

 

To obtain Council approval to carry forward $200,000 for project 416418 Noise Attenuation Data Collection.

As per Council Policy C-FS-11, Operating and Capital Carry Forwards Policy:

 

Any operational or capital project that has not been completed during its budgeted fiscal year shall be brought forward for consideration as part of Administration’s report on proposed year end transfers, and all projects shall be subject to a maximum carry-forward deadline.

 

BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION

 

On February 19, 2019 AR-19-110, Project 416418 Noise Attenuation Data Collection was incorrectly included on the Municipal Capital Projects - Closed attachment. A final report of noise levels has been received, and work in 2019 is required for further detailed investigation and design of mitigation measures.

Financial:

Approval to carry forward the budget of $200,000 funded from Pay as You Go for project 416418 Noise Attenuation Data Collection.

If funds for this project are not recommended to be carried forward the Noise Attenuation Data Collection will not be able to progress.

None

 

ALTERNATIVES AND IMPLICATIONS CONSIDERED

If Council does not wish to support the recommendation, the project will be closed and funds will not be available for Noise Attenuation Data Collection.
