That the following St. Albert Games Legacy Award Program grants be awarded:
Abby Constantino: $750 for the 2018 Canadian National Water Polo Finals
Hanna Johnson: $750 for the 2018 U16 Girls Canadian Fast Pitch Championships
Jack McBride: $750 for the 2018 Sr. World Racquetball Championships
Marion McBride: $750 for the 2018 Sr. World Racquetball Championships
Paige Skogstad: $750 for the 2018 Canadian Synchronized Swimming Championships

PURPOSE OF REPORT
This report brings forward a recommendation from the Community Services Advisory Committee (CSAC) for allocation from the fall intake of applications for the 2018 Games Legacy Award Program grant fund for Council’s consideration and approval, as per Policy C-CS-01.

ALIGNMENT TO SERVICE DELIVERY
Management of Community Granting:
Provision of funding to eligible St. Albert Not-for-profit organizations and residents in the areas of special events, sport and culture development, operational funding and capital renovations and development. Application intake is in the spring and fall of each year with submissions reviewed by the Community Services Advisory Committee. Recommendations are then forwarded from CSAC to Council for final funding approval. Total funds available is set by policy and is based on $0.25 per capita. As directed through the policy, unallocated funds are carried forward from year to year.
