PURPOSE OF REPORT
On December 18, 2017 Councillor Joly provided notice in accordance with Section 23 of Procedure Bylaw 22/2016 that she intended to bring forward the proposed motion below.
In order for Council to debate the motion, the motion must be formally moved.
PROPOSED MOTION(S):
recommendation
That Administration, by the end of Q2 2018, provide a report to Council detailing the environmental, economic, and lifestyle impact, benefits, and risks of enacting a bylaw banning disposable single-use plastic straws and cutlery, including potential recommendations for exemptions.
