That elected officials be appointed to Council Committees and External Agencies as specified in the "Recommendations for 2017 Appointments to Council Committees and External Agencies", provided as an attachment to the November 6, 2017 agenda report entitled “Legislative Appointments”, for a one year term unless otherwise specified.

PURPOSE OF REPORT
This agenda report brings forward for Council’s consideration the recommendations of the Nominating Committee.

BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION
The Nominating Committee met on October 31, 2017 to consider and make recommendations for the appointment of members of Council to the Council Committees and External Agencies on which Council representation is required.
In addition to the recommendations, it should be noted that all Council Members serve on the following committees:
• Committee of the Whole
• Governance, Priorities & Finance Committee
• St. Albert-Sturgeon County Intermunicipal Affairs Committee
• Nominating Committee
• Agenda Committee (Mayor + whichever Councillor is currently Deputy Mayor)
