PROPOSED MOTION(S):

recommendation

 

That the 20 day notice period requirement in section 199(9) of the Procedure Bylaw be waived, and that debate on the proposed motion occur at the September 16, 2025 Council Meeting.

 

[if that passes by 2/3 majority then the following could be debated]

 

That the Community Standards Bylaw be amended to add provisions regarding standards related to debris at construction sites, and other potential policy and program options regarding limiting construction debris be evaluated, all to be presented to Council by April 15, 2026.

ADMINISTRATION’S UNDERSTANDING OF THE INTENT OF THE MOTION

 

If the motion is approved, administration will prepare amendments to the Community Standards Bylaw to add standards to the bylaw regarding the removal of debris on construction sites, and will evaluate other policy and program options regarding removal of debris on construction sites, all of which will be presented to Council by April 15, 2026.

 

PURPOSE OF REPORT

 

The purpose of this report is to present a motion for which Councillor Hughes gave notice on September 10, 2025.
