Purpose of Report
To provide Council a list of all consultants in the previous calendar year, the cost of each and a brief rationale for hiring.
ALIGNMENT TO COUNCIL DIRECTION OR MANDATORY STATUTORY PROVISION
On September 6, 2022 Council passed the following motion:
CM-22-017
That Administration annually and by the end of Quarter 2 provide to council as an agenda item at council meeting a list of all consultants contracted in the previous calendar year, the cost for each and a brief rationale for hiring.
BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION
A summary of the consulting costs for January 1, 2025 to December 31, 2025 is $770,266 and can be found in attachment “2025 Annual Contract Consultant Report”.
This attachment details the cost breakdown by consultant and a brief description of the type of consulting work or project that it was needed for.
The consulting costs incurred throughout 2025 were funded by the following:
1. Operating Budget - $350,239
2. Grant funding - $77,125
3. Reserve funding - $342,902
