SUMMARY
* A new Land Use Bylaw 18/2024 was adopted by City Council on October 15, 2024.
* The new Land Use Bylaw contained new district names, which need to be transferred over to the Master Rates Bylaw.
* This amendment will revise the Master Rates Bylaw to ensure the fees and charges match the new Land Use Bylaw.

On October 15, 2024, Council passed the following motions:

That the Public Hearing on Bylaw 18/2024 be closed.
That Bylaw 18/2024 be read a second time.
That Bylaw 18/2024 be read a third time.
BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION
Land Use Bylaw 18/2024 was approved by City Council on October 15, 2024. Significant changes to the districts were approved, including consolidating districts, retiring old districts, and creating new districts. In many cases district names changed.
In some cases, the Master Rates Bylaw charges fees based on district. Therefore, the Master Rates Bylaw needs to be amended to ensure the correct district names are in the bylaw.
This will result in changes to four different schedules of the Master Rates Bylaw, including:
Schedule A - Building Permit Fees
Schedule E - Development Fees
Schedule F - Subdivision & Development Appeal Fees
Schedule G - Planning Fees
