That Council’s 2026-27 Advocacy Priorities, entitled “Council Advocacy Priorities 2026-27,” provided as Attachment 1 to the Agenda Report entitled 2026-27 Council Advocacy Priorities, be approved.

SUMMARY
The purpose of this report is for Council to review and approve their 2026-27 Advocacy Priorities, to provide direction to City Administration on activating future intergovernmental opportunities.
ALIGNMENT TO COUNCIL DIRECTION OR MANDATORY STATUTORY PROVISION
On May 19, 2026, City Council approved the following motion:
AR-26-219
That the amended Council Policy C-CG-02 City of St. Albert Council Strategic Plan, including the updated Schedule A, attached to the May 19, 2026 agenda report entitled “Council Vision Mission and Values and 2026-2029 St. Albert Council Strategic Plan” be approved.
On April 21, 2026, City Council approved the following motion:

That Council add “Northeast Servicing Funding” as an Advocacy Priority to Council’s 2026-27 Council Advocacy Priorities, to ensure completion of a funding agreement with all orders of government to secure $28.1 million for this project.
On September 17, 2024, City Council approved the following motion:

That the Council 2024-25 Advocacy Priorities, entitled “Council Advocacy Priorities 2024-25", provided as Attachment 1 to the Agenda Report entitled 2024-25 Council Advocacy Priorities, be approved.
