That the budget for COUN-037 - LED Recognition Lighting at St. Albert Place be increased by $125,000 for a total budget to $250,000, to be funded from the Capital Reserve.

SUMMARY
The original lighting estimate for this project, provided in Q3 of 2023, is no longer valid as the specified lighting is no longer being manufactured. An alternative solution has been proposed at a higher cost than the original design, with an estimated total of $218,143.36. Increased funding is being requested to accommodate the new solution, as well as a contingency of 15%.

On November 27, 2023, Council passed the following motion:

That Charter COUN-037, SAP LED recognition lighting, recommended amount $125,000 be included in the Capital budget, funding source via the Capital budget.
BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION
A Council motion was presented and subsequently passed on May 16th, 2023, requesting that a growth charter be developed to include the installation of approximately 300 feet of LED lighting along the balcony, outside of the Council Chambers.
Cost estimates were completed thru Q3 of 2023 and resulted in preliminary costing for the proposed lighting came back at $125,000. This cost estimate was based on costing that was previously supplied to install a specific system on the entire permitter of the facility back in 2022.
On December 19th, 2023 as part of the 2024 budget approval charter COUN-037 was approved in the amount of $125,000 (AR-23-591) for the purposes of the installation of Recognition lighting to St. Albert Place main front balcony as a part of the larger St. Albert Place Lifecycle Repair Project.
