RECOMMENDATION(S)

1. That Members of Council provide comments to Administration on the draft City Council Council Policy C-P&E-11 Corporate Land Management, provided as an attachment to the January 23, 2017 agenda report entitled “Corporate Land Strategy: Draft Policy & Strategy Framework”, by February 14, 2017.
2. That Administration present a final draft of City Council Council Policy C-P&E-11 Corporate Land Management for Council’s approval in June 2017.

PURPOSE OF REPORT
The purpose of the report is to present Council the draft Corporate Land Management Policy for review and feedback from members of Council.
COUNCIL DIRECTION
On November 14, 2016 Council passed the following motion:

That Administration develop, for Council's consideration at the January 23, 2017 Council meeting, a draft Corporate Land Management Policy and Strategic Framework for the Corporate Land Strategy based upon input received at the November 14, 2016 Standing Committee of the Whole and any further input from Council Members until November 30, 2016.
BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION
As presented during the November 14, 2016 Council Meeting, the process related to the development of the Corporate Land Strategy: Draft Policy & Strategy Framework includes:
January 2017: Draft Corporate Land Policy presented to Council for comment
March 2017: Draft Corporate Land Strategy to Council for comment
June 2017: Present final documents to Council for approval/decision
It is Administration's recommendation that upon final approval of Council Policy C-P&E-11 Corporate Land Management, that this new Council Policy will replace the existing Council Policy C-ED-03 Land Transactions.

City of St. Albert Departments have had the opportunity to review and provide input into the draft Corporate Land Management Policy.
