RESPONSE

Planned annual road RMR work is completed through funding within four (4) separate project charters, three (3) of which represent a classification of roadway for work occurring and one focused on a dedicated treatment of extensive reconstruction.

The two (2) attachments to this report share the planned candidate roadways of the full 2026 RMR programs for charters ENGS-001 to ENGS-004 (inclusive).

Attachments include:

1)                     A map identifying locations of the 2026 roadway programs for each charter (all shown together).

2)                     A table to supplement the map that identifies the charter, classification of roadway and road and segment of planned work.

It is important to note that:

1)                     Each program may follow a typical process; as an example, a neighbourhood roadway (Collector or Local) may have concrete work (sidewalk and curb and gutter) performed within a planned “year 1” project delivery and road repair work performed in “year 2”.

2)                     The list of road candidates is based on various criteria established and shared within the Charter(s); the priority and resulting annual program may change based upon emergent conditions of roadway network demands, received construction tender pricing or conflict with other capital projects (emergent conditions).

3)                     An effort has been made to coordinate RMR programming with planned capital improvements. As an example, 2026 RMR roadwork at the intersection of Boudreau Road at Campbell Road is planned in coordination with intersection improvements with requested funding in charter ENGS-054: Transportation Network Improvements.
